Guinea Piracy Law

Guinea possesses a civil law system based on the French colonial system, but it also recognizes customary law as well. Guinea criminalizes piracy in Article 807 of its Merchant Marine Code with a definition of piracy very similar to that of Article 101 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
