In a move that was a surprise to absolutely no one, the New York Times has endorsed Barack Obama.

This announcement happened to come just as Standard & Poor’s slashed its rating on the New York Times Company by three notches to junk, according to the Financial Times.

Third-quarter net income was $6.53m, down 51.4 per cent year on year, but boosted by profits from its broadcast media group, which was sold in the second quarter of 2007.

Looks like selling their objectivity to prop up Obama came with a cost.
